This information is used to identify and differentiate organisms. To study the diversity certain it's called taxonomical aids can be used. Taxonomical aids are generally collection of samples aur preserved
organism which help in research of taxonomic hierarchy. Example herbarium botanical gardens ,museums, biodiversity parks, etc. Living World Herbarium
Question: How can we study large number of organisms at a glance?
Ans :
all organisms are differentiate according to their taxonomic classification like domain ,kingdom ,phylum ,class ,order, family ,genus, and species.with the help of these taxonomic classification we can easily study large number of organisms at a glance.
Question: whether all organisms prepare their own food?
Ans:No all organisms doesn't prepare their own only autotrophic organisms like plants can prepare their own food. Organisms are differentiate into autotrophs and heterotrophs . Living World Herbarium
Organization that can prepare their own food with the help of sunlight water and carbon dioxide are called Autotrophs.
Example- plants. Plants prepare their food in presence of sunlight carbon dioxide air water minerals and chlorophyll present in leaves.organisms which depend on other organism for their food called as Heterotroph.Example :Animals ,fungi ,protozoa ,etc.
Question: which features can be considered as all inclusive characteristic of life? Why?
Ans: inclusive characteristics of life are growth ,movement ,reproduction ,development ,respiration, excretion ,sensitivity ,order ,are some of the features of living Organism.
Question:Can metabolic reaction demonstrated in test tube (called 'in vitro 'tests ) be called living?
Ans
No ,the test tube is non living but the metabolic reaction that takes place inside test tube is living and outside test tube is non living.
However, a metabolic reaction in vitro is a living reaction. Living World Herbarium

Question:Now,a days patients are declared' brain dead'and are on life support .They do not show any sign of self-consicoiusness are they living or non -living?
Ans: The patient's which are declared brain dead are living because their heart is still in function . The heart supply blood to all over the body the circulation of blood is still in process,
Lungs are also working through which respiration is done .All activities in body are properly working just their brain doesn't work and due to this they don't feel any type of pain.
Herbarium: Herbarium (plural of herbaria) the word herbarium was coined by Pitton de Tournefort in the book "elements".Herbarium is a collection of dried specimen of plant that is pressed ,treated,
and mounted on a standard size sheet in order to preserve it.The mountain plants are then labelled with their proper scientific name, name of collector, name of place from where they are collected, and how they grew , Living World Herbarium
characteristic of plants ,ecological peculiarities, all these information is written at lower right corner of sheet and is called 'Label'. Types of Herbarium:
1)National or regional Herbaria: In this herbaria are from different geographically region like country,
similar countries, neighbouring countries.
2)Local Herbaria: This represents region within country such as state, district, or even smaller areas.
3) Special Herbaria : These Herbaria are usually small, and serve specific purposes or limited scope depending on it's function. Living World Herbarium
Benefits of Herbarium:
1)Discover or confirm the identity of a plant or determine that it is new to taxonomy.
2) Provide locality data for planning field trips.
3) Serve as repository of new collection.
4) Verify latin plant names that is nomenclature.
5)Provide material for microscopic observation that is an anatomy, morphology.
6)Serve as a means of locating rare or possibly extinct species via recollecting areas listed on labelled data.
7) Serve as an educational tool for the public (Garden clubs ,School groups ,etc ).
